White Rose Watercolor Painting Development

White Rose Watercolor Painting Development by Olga Peregood

Hello! Those days silver shield of clouds cover the sky. Slight raw able to look through feels like a gift. A lots of yellow fruits, vitamin D, solarium room - nothing beats simply painting in my studio!

My favorite subject right now is sun rays reflecting, dancing and lighting beneath flower petals. Hydrangeas, white rose watercolor painting, golden-daisy are full of light, freshness and warmth.

My approach to the medium changes. I more appreciate what I already have during my first layer rather than continue to add new layers. I spend more time to explore what I achieved and to think what not to paint rather than what to paint on top layer. Now my paintings look lighter, simpler and gentle.

My speed slow down as well. I published many paintings recently, but there were results of previous long creative process.

I have new favorites among my new art supplies which I hope to announce soon. I experimented with paper brands, watercolors, new brushes. Many gone to the bin and will never be mentioned as I focused on showing my viewers good goods.

I receive warm feedback, student's paintings and wonderful stories on daily basis. Thank you everyone who let me know how much you love my paintings, style and teaching. There is no excuse not to continue doing my job to inspire.

I updated my "Gallery"and "Shop" sections of my website.

Bunch of pink flowers escaping winter

Hi, there! Dealing with Canadian winter. A few hints on my blog from the process of escaping winter by painting roses. Occasionally, my first tutorial titled "Escaping Winter. Roses" too!
Watching how this bunch of pink flowers appears on my easel is a pleasure.

Actually, I was happy just with first layer.

Can you imagine to stop here?
Me too!
So I added as less as I can at that moment to save fresh and beauty of first wash!

I hope everyone doing well. What do you paint in "escape"?
